DESCRIPTION

The GIS Developer will work as part of a team of software developers to develop GIS applications and tools and maintain software programs to support the needs of CGS and/or clients.  Experience developing with ESRI Platform products including but not limited to ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro add-in development, ArcGIS Server geo-processing.

Development experience with ArcObjects, ArcGIS Python API and ArcPy.  ArcFM AutoUpdater, FME, and imagery/raster geo-processing experience, a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5 years of Esri software development experience, with at least 1 year in ArcGIS Pro
• 2 years of Python experience
• Experience in Oracle Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL preferred
• Ability to work in Enterprise GIS and a Esri Developer Certification preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Agile software and Amazon Web Services a plus
• Must be a self-starter and work in an integrated team based environment
• Creative, resourceful, and innovative problem solver.
• Excellent computer skills under Windows environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to use Esri GIS software – desktop and Server based.
• Ability to understand and extract GIS datasets from different sources.
• Ability to convert GIS datasets in different formats.
• Ability to write scripts or code (Perl, C++, Python, javascript, etc…).
• Ability to exchange technical information with the client.
• Experience working in transportation industry a plus
• Good organizational skills to meet deadlines and being committed to the company is part of your ethic.
• Excellent team player, with the ability to work within a collaborative environment and take a leading role when required.
• Creative, resourceful, and innovative problem solver.
• Proficient English usage for oral and written technical communications.
• You must be authorized to work in the U.S.
